Advocating Rights In Special Education

The Holmdel Parent Group for Children with Disabilities

ARISE is more than just a support group. One goal of our group is to inform and parents about improving the quality of their child(ren)'s education. Through a better understanding of our role and purpose, we can better advocate for, and represent our children. We can create an awareness and partnerships between ARISE and our schools' administrators and our childrens' teachers. In ARISE we come together with common difficulties and concerns, and with shared hopes for a better tomorrow. You are invited to share your concerns and hopes by attending our regularly scheduled meetings.

Events & Information

I wish to thank all of the High School Professionals for their efforts in informing students and parents about Brookdale Community College’s Disability Services Information Sessions.

The remaining Information Sessions for Prospective Brookdale Students with Disabilities and Parents are being held on March 25 and April 22, 2010. The sessions are designed to streamline the admissions and self-identification process. It is our goal to make the student’s transition into college as seamless as possible. Please understand these sessions are intended for parents and their children and not for special groups or classes. Information sessions for groups or classes can be arranged through our office.

If there are any questions or if you require any additional copies of the Information Sessions Flyers, please don’t hesitate to contact me at 732-224-2729.
